• The CSHS Library and PTSA have partnered up to offer some fun summer events and incentives to encourage our students to read over the summer.
Stop by our Summer Book Break events with a book you're currently reading for
pizza, popsicles, and drawings for spirit gear, event tickets, gift cards, free books
and tons of other great prizes! Your BOOK is your TICKET into the event. Book
Breaks will be held in the Captain Shreve Library June 11 and July 16. Book Break
events are open to all students, staff, and families and they're a great way to
break up summer boredom and reconnect with friends! See more details on the
school website.
Keep reading this summer! Read a new book on a high school interest level and
create a 1-pager, collage, or take the AR test on your book to show your
evidence of reading. Bring your work to a Shreve librarian by August 22 to earn a
ticket to our Back to School Book Chomp Event with pizza and more great
giveaways!
The Captain Shreve Library will offer special summer book checkouts from May 5
to May 15. To qualify for summer book checkouts, students must have a ZERO
balance on their library account — no overdue fines and no books out.
